Tips To Find the Best Career Using Online Search

Most of the time job seekers are sending application letter online without any knowledge of the company they are applying for. Job seekers will only decide if they will proceed or not with the application after personal interview thus wasting time in resume preparation and visiting the company office. To find the best job opportunities using online search, here are some guidelines based on E-mails with employers.

1. Background of the employer
It is very important for you to know first the background of your employer. You can have some information about them, especially the nature of job that is offering at present. You can’t even send your resume if you lack knowledge about the business and even the job that you are applying for. For a first contact, e-mail employer only when he/she specifically invites or instructs you to do so — with instructions on the employer's web site, a job ad, a verbal conversation, other reliable advice, etc. Don't ever send an e-mail without doing your research online first. Refrain from sending hard copy if you are not certain of the company you are applying for in the internet. If you ask a question easily answered on the organization's web site, you'll create the impression that you are lazy or unintelligent, or both.

2. Responding to the employer
You have to open or check your email from time to time in order for you not to delay and to have the updates concerning jobs opportunities in online search. If an employer e-mails you, you can probably respond via e-mail. The key is to read the e-mail sent by the employer and follow instructions. For example, it might instruct you to do some follow-up on-line or with another person.

3. Profound thank you notes after the interview
It is important for the applicant to express his/her profound gratitude after having sent emails to the employer or managers of said company. It will help you boost morale about you as a job-seeker. Employers will appreciate that you did at least send thanks. If you know that the person who interviewed you is traveling a lot, he/she may see your e-mail before getting back to the office to see hard copy mail. If the hiring decision will happen very quickly following the interview, an e-mail might be seen sooner than hard copy. Hard copy is still nice, and can follow up an e-mail.

4. Job negotiations
Most employers or managers prefer instant job-hiring through phone interviews, therefore, it is a must for you to deal with the employer at his/her most convenient time. Follow only the course of the conversation. Don’t demand something if the conversation is not about the payment, etc. Let him/her open it and that is the time for you to close the transaction or negotiation with benefits, remuneration package, etc. Negotiations are better conducted verbally than in writing. If you don't understand the benefits package information provided with a job offer and have questions, a verbal conversation might be best. However, if speed is of the essence and you are only reaching voice mail by phone, you could alert the employer via e-mail that you have some questions and are hoping to speak directly. Suggest times when you might be available to speak.

5. Try to get information through verbal actuations or take your cues from manager or human resource personnel
Indispensability is needed when the conversation hits perfectly between the two parties. You have to obtain whatever information that the employer gives to you and wants in terms of behaviors, likes or dislikes, etc. If he/she likes written or oral interview, you get the cues from him/her. Anyway, it is for your own advantage that is so quick in manifesting the preferences on behalf of the employer. If an employer has been communicating with you, take your cues from the employer. If s/he clearly prefers the phone and there's no problem reaching each other, use the phone. If s/he uses e-mail, follow suit.
